Home Birth: Don't Blink Otherwise You'll Miss This Super Fast Delivery

Don't blink.

Birth stories often involve harrowing tales of epic proportions. But a recent video makes delivering a baby look peaceful and ridiculously fast.

The video above was posted to YouTube, Facebook and Instagram by California midwife Lisa Marie Sanchez Oxenham. She included the following message in the post: "My client Audra's beautiful second home birth. A midwife's role is fluid, providing whatever is necessary for each individual birthing experience, although almost always that role is simply to offer the gift of quiet."

Quiet indeed. Mom and dad can be seen in a birth pool, waiting for their baby to arrive. The mom, Audra, is holding a mirror between her legs because she wants to see her baby being born.

Thankfully, she puts it down just before she experiences a hard contraction and her son literally shoots into the water.

"My baby. Son. Oh my god," Audra cries as she puts her newborn to her chest.

From the sounds of it, the midwife was surprised by the speed of the delivery. We think we can hear Oxenham say "Holy sh*t" when the baby is born. (Seriously, that's what we're all thinking.)

We hope you didn't blink, otherwise you would have missed this incredible delivery.
