Resistance bands come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, colours and thickness. If you're just beginning, look for a thin, light coloured band, which is likely to have the least resistance. As you build your strength you can adjust the tension by shortening the slack on the band, or you can purchase another band with more resistance.
