SASKATOON — Check your purses and pockets — somewhere in Saskatchewan there's an as-yet-unclaimed $5 million winning ticket on Lotto 649.
The ticket is for the Aug. 31 draw.
Andrea Marantz says it was sold in Saskatoon.
She says it actually isn't that unusual for a winning ticket to go unclaimed for a period of time.
She says sometimes people stockpile their tickets and then check them all at once, or they're gone on vacation and don't check until they get home.
The winning numbers were 8, 10, 17, 36, 39, and 44 with a bonus number of 40.
The jackpot was the second big win for Saskatchewan in August.
Mary Wernicke from Neville, Sask., won the Aug. 12 prize of $60 million, the largest jackpot in the province's history.
