Justin Trudeau Kids: Prime Minister Spends Day With The Kids In Toronto

The Prime Minister took his children to see "Matilda the Musical" at Ed Mirvish Theatre.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spent some quality time with his kids over Thanksgiving weekend.

On Saturday, Trudeau took his two eldest children – Xavier, 9, and Ella-Grace, 7 – to Toronto’s Ed Mirvish Theatre to watch a performance of “Matilda the Musical.” The trio got the chance to meet the 30-member cast and, of course, pose for some pretty adorable photos.

“Matilda the Musical” is based on Roald Dahl’s beloved children’s book, which tells the story of a telekinetic girl who loves books, so naturally it was a hit with Trudeau’s children.

According to Mirvish Productions’ Facebook page, this was the second time that Xavier and Ella-Grace have been to the theatre. The first time was in 2012.

“They attended a performance of THE WIZARD OF OZ,” the Mirvish Facebook page read. “It was the first time Trudeau children had attended a live theatrical show. They were captivated and enchanted.”

The prime minister and his wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, are also parents to two-year-old Hadrien.
