Charlize Theron ditched her usual form-fitting gowns for a looser frock at amfAR Inspiration Gala in Los Angeles Thursday evening.
The reason for the 41-year-old Oscar-winner's baggier attire? A curvier figure.
"Yes, I am very fat right now," Theron said after Chelsea Handler joked about her weight gain.
According to People, Charlize gained 35 pounds to play a mother of three in the upcoming comedy, "Tully." Theron herself has two adopted children.
This isn't the first time the actress has undergone a dramatic body transformation for a film role, however. Back in 2004, she gained over 30 pounds for her Academy Award-winning role in "Monster." She also shaved her head for "Mad Max: Fury Road."
