Céline Dion's Tribute To Late Husband René Angélil Will Warm Your Heart

"He was also one of the biggest fans of musical artists that ever existed."

Let's make one thing clear: Céline Dion is still deeply in love with her late husband.

The 48-year-old singer attended the Adisq Gala over the weekend in Montreal to accept an award on behalf of René Angélil.

Angélil, who was Dion's manager for many years, was a big name in Quebec's music industry.

"Not only [was he] one of the greatest visionaries of the Quebec music industry. He was also one of the biggest fans of musical artists that ever existed," Dion said, according to the Montreal Gazette.

"He had an immense respect for people who had that passion... René always thought of others before he thought of himself.”

On Sunday, Dion received the Félix trophy on Angélil's behalf to honour his work for the province's music industry.

After picking up the award for her husband, who passed away earlier this year to cancer, Dion said it was even "more touching" to do something on his behalf.

“He’s not physically present, but I’m sure he’s here tonight. I don’t think he missed any of this, and I’m sure he’s very proud.”

The duo tied the knot in 1994 and were married for 21 years.

In an interview in October with CBS Sunday Morning correspondent Mo Rocca, the mother of three opened up about finding love again and how she first met Angélil at the age of 12.

"[He was] the only man that I kissed, the only man that I loved... I never kissed another man in my life..."

Dion also hit the stage for a performance on Sunday night.
