Carrie Fisher Admits She Had Affair With Harrison Ford During 'Star Wars' Shoot

Princess Leia and Han Solo IRL, guys.

The romance between Princess Leia and Han Solo was real, guys!

Carrie Fisher has finally revealed what all "Star Wars" fans have presumed for decades: she and co-star Harrison Ford had an affair while they were shooting the original "Star Wars" film in 1976.

“It was so intense," the 60-year-old actress tells People magazine. "It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend."

Can we blame her? No, we can't.

The Wishful Drinking author was 19 at the time of the affair, while Harrison was 33 and a married father of two. According to Fisher, the whirlwind affair lasted three months.

Fisher says she felt it was time to talk about the formative experience after coming across journals she kept while shooting the iconic film in London.

"It’s been 40 years,” explains Fisher, who went on to write The Princess Diarist, detailing what went on behind the scenes of the original "Star Wars."

In the book, Fisher recalls spending her first night with Ford following a birthday party for director George Lucas.

"I looked over at Harrison. A hero’s face — a few strands of hair fell over his noble, slightly furrowed brow,” she writes. “How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?”

And although their brief romance came to an end once the film wrapped, she says she remembers their time together fondly.

"I was so inexperienced, but I trusted something about him,” she says. “He was kind.”

The two reunited to shoot 2015's "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

According to People, Ford received a heads-up about the book from Fisher and received a first draft. He has yet to comment on the allegations.
