Celebrity Canadian contractor Mike Holmes and his son share more than a name. Mike Holmes Jr. not only looks like his dad, but he also knows how to swing a hammer. The father-son duo have even teamed up for a new show "Holmes and Holmes."
In the show, the two renovate a bungalow for Mike Jr. and his girlfriend. They also challenge each other on important father-son traditions, like grilling steak and driving nails.
Turns out they are both Leos (and very stubborn). They definitely have a special connection and share a love of a good pun.
In the show, Mike Jr. proves he can definitely hold his own with his dad, and isn't afraid to tease him.
It seems a strong father-son bond runs in the Holmes' family. On his website, Mike Sr. credits his dad for the work that he does: "In my eyes, he was Superman. I talk about my dad all the time…sometimes I get the feeling I talk about him too much, but he is the inspiration behind what I do, for sure.”
In fact Holmes' iconic earring is a tribute to his father, who tragically passed away at the age of 55.
