Christmas cheer with the premier: Legislative building turns into Santa's workshop

It was likely the first time children received a hug from Mr. and Mrs. Claus and Brian Pallister all in the same place.

The Manitoba Legislative Building opened its doors on Saturday and transformed into Santa's workshop.

The open house saw the premier giving hugs, shaking hands and holding kids on his knee. Other members of the legislative assembly were also there to connect with their constituents during the holidays.

The halls filled with music from choirs, jazz bands and an a cappella quartet, while a magician and tables of crafts entertained the kids.

The event ran from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
