Here is what the Netflix show "Stranger Things" has taught us:
That "friends don't lie."

We're all a little weird.
And its stars are amazing. On and off the camera.

On Sunday evening, the cast accepted a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
As the star-studded group took the stage, it was actor David Harbour who stood in front of the mic to deliver an explosive and powerful acceptance speech, issuing a "call of arms" to his "fellow craftsmen and women to go deeper and, through our art, to battle against fear, self-centeredness, and exclusivity of our predominantly narcissistic culture."
"I would like to say that in light of all that's going on in the world today, it's difficult to celebrate the already-celebrated 'Stranger Things,'" the actor, who plays police chief Jim Hopper on the show, said. "But this award from you, who take your craft seriously and earnestly believe like me that great acting can change the world."
He added, "Through our craft, to cultivate a more empathetic and understanding society by revealing intimate truths that serve as a forceful reminder to folks that when they feel broken and afraid and tired, they are not alone."
While the Screen Actors Guild celebrated the best of Hollywood, thousands of protesters around the world fought against Trump's immigrant and refugee ban.
"We are united and that we are all human beings and we are all together on this horrible, painful, joyous, exciting and mysterious ride that is being alive."
"Now, as we act and the continuing narrative of 'Stranger Things,' we 1983 midwesterners will repel bullies," he said, in a nod to the show's characters. "We will shelter freaks and outcasts, those who have no home."
"We will get past the lies. We will hunt monsters, and when we are at a loss amidst the hypocrisy and casual violence of certain individuals and institutions, we will — per chief Jim Hopper — punch some people in the face when they seek to destroy the weak, the disenfranchised and the marginalized. We will do it all with soul, heart, and joy. We thank you for this responsibility."
And if the crowd's reaction to the speech wasn't enough (did you see Taraji P. Henson cheering loud and proud?) we think Winona Ryder's facial expressions really displayed the emotional journey we all went through during Harbour's delivery.
And the political messages of unity and inclusivity weren't only delivered by the cast of "Strangers Things." Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Mahershala Ali also spoke out against President Donald Trump's ban.
