The Duchess Of Cambridge Dazzles In Alexander McQueen At 2017 BAFTA Awards

It was Britain's version of the Oscars, and the Duchess of Cambridge stole the show.

Sunday evening marked the biggest night in the British film calendar, with the best movies of 2016 being celebrated at the 2017 BAFTA Awards.

And who better to attend the ceremony then two of the U.K.'s most famous faces — the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Twenty minutes before the ceremony was set to begin at Royal Albert Hall in London, Prince William and Catherine made their first-ever appearance as a couple at the award show in absolutely dazzling ensembles.

Wearing a black, off-the-shoulder Alexander McQueen gown with a flower print, Kate Middleton looked modern and elegant, outdoing the likes of A-list stars such as Emma Stone in Chanel couture and Nicole Kidman in Giorgio Armani.

The frock featured a Bardot neckline and tiered flare, which worked beautifully with her voluminous bouffant updo, shimmering drop earrings and bronzed cheeks.

William, who looked dapper in a black tux, has served as BAFTA president since 2010, and presented the BAFTA Fellowship at the ceremony.

According to Vanity Fair, BAFTA discouraged movie stars in attendance from taking photos with Kate and William, which is kind of a bummer because we think the world needs a photo of Kate and Meryl Streep together, don't you think?
