Twitter Criticizes Brie Larson For Wearing Low-Cut Top On A 'Family Show'

The Internet is the worst.

Brie Larson is being criticized for wearing a low-cut pantsuit during an appearance on U.K.’s “The One Show.”

The 27-year-old actress appeared on the talk show to promote her latest film “Kong: Skull Island” with costars Samuel L. Jackson and Tom Hiddleston.

Unfortunately, Twitter did not appreciate Larson’s outfit and shamed her for baring cleavage on a “family show.”

One user even accused Larson of using her “milk makers” to promote her film.

Luckily, many called out the shamers for their sexist comments.

And one even noted the real issue with the criticism: that once again, people are choosing to focus on a woman’s looks rather than her accomplishments.

Twitter user Emma J made this perfectly clear when she tweeted: “Stuff about brie larson's cleavage fucks me off, yet again an example of how society remains more concerned with a woman's appearance rather than her career and the work she is doing, literally ridiculous.”

“The focus should be on her acting and not her outfit,” she continued. “Legit haven't heard anything regarding what she actual had to SAY in the interview cos people are more concerned with bashing her look.”

Emma J is right. Larson has always been an inspiring role model not just because of the roles she takes, but because of her actions as a feminist and advocate for sexual assault survivors.

In January, the 27-year-old Oscar winner revealed that she “makes movies as a form of activism.”

“I believe we learn from what we see in our leaders,” she wrote on Instagram. “I'm proud to play Mason Weaver in @kongskullislandmovie because she represents the many journalists who risk their lives everyday to share with us the truth. Weaver leads with compassion and believes that unity cannot be obtained through aggression. I'm excited to share this film with you. And in the meanwhile I'm thrilled to have this platform as a way to connect us. Let's work together. Lets be open to learning from each other.”

Larson clearly deserves to be recognized for more than just her looks.
