Yoga For Period Cramps: 3 Poses To Relieve Menstrual Pain

Massage the pain away.

Ladies, there's good news: you can get period cramp relief without resorting to pills.

In the video above, yoga instructor Queenly Lee shares three yoga poses that will put an end to painful period cramps by opening up your hips and stretching out your abdomen.

Though they may look tricky for beginners, these three moves are surprisingly comfortable and can be attempted at any level. In addition to relaxing and massaging the abdominals, these moves also stimulate your reproductive organs and can even help reduce anxiety and fatigue.

If you're still feeling pain in your lower tummy after your quick yoga session, try shaking up your diet. Though you may be craving fatty and sugar-ladden foods, a low-fat diet can reduce inflammation and a hot water bottle placed on the lower belly or back can also work wonders when it comes to reducing menstrual cramps.
