Some Canadians, specifically Toronto Blue Jays fans, nearly died of joy Wednesday when their team was the answer to a "Jeopardy!" clue.
The clue was in a category of professional sports teams named after birds.
"Jose Bautista went north to become Joey Bats, author of an iconic 2016 bat flip for this team," the clue read.
But while contestant Grant McSheffrey, who hails from Ottawa, got it right, even casual baseball fans would have noticed something off about the clue — the famous bat flip happened in 2015, not 2016.
And Twitter did notice.
One fan even opted to write in a correction to the show.
This is not the first time "Jeopardy!" has flubbed a Blue Jays-related clue. But the fact that the show is pre-taped is likely to blame for the previous error.
On a 2015 episode, a Jays player was identified as being part of the Colorado Rockies, a team he had already been traded from a day beforehand.
"In 2015 shortstop Troy Tulowitzki hopes to help this team fulfill its mile high hopes," it read.
