10-Year-Old Matthew Perry Beat Up Justin Trudeau Out Of 'Pure Jealousy'

No new "Friends."

So no one told Justin Trudeau life was gonna be this way (as in, he would be beat up by a 10-year-old Matthew Perry when he was in elementary school).

Yup, it's true: out of all the people in this world, Chandler Bing decided to take on the future prime minister of Canada in a Grade 5 schoolyard fight.

The Ottawa-raised, American-born "Friends" star, whose mother, Suzanne Perry, served as press secretary to Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Wednesday night and admitted to beating up Trudeau over "pure jealousy."

"I think he was excelling at a sport that we weren't as [good at], so it was pure jealousy, and, you know, we beat him up," the 47-year-old actor said. "His dad was Prime Minister at the time but that wasn't the reason we beat him up. I think he was the only kid in school that we could beat up."

Perry, a few years older than Trudeau, noted this is something that is not worth "bragging about."

Kimmel then asked, "Don’t they have secret service there protecting the children of their prime ministers? That would never happen to Barron Trump, you’d be in the stockade right now, you’d be in Russia somewhere."

Perry said, "This is terrible. I was a stupid kid and I didn't want to beat him up."

Could Matthew Perry be anymore apologetic? No, because he now takes credit for Trudeau's current success.

"I think I was rather instrumental in him going to such great heights and becoming Prime Minister. I think he said, 'I'm going to rise above this and become Prime Minister.'"

Heritage minute, anyone?
