'Riverdale' Is Shot In Vancouver And The Cast Is Taking Advantage

Veronica Lodge's apartment is actually The Permanent building in downtown Vancouver.

Vancouver continues its long tradition of standing in as another city with The CW's "Riverdale" — and at the same time, enchanting the stars who move there temporarily to film the TV show.

The teen drama series, loosely based on the Archie comics, features lots of local spots, including Lord Byng Secondary School (and John Oliver Secondary) masquerading as Riverdale High School.

Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe is a set in a studio parking lot in Langley, but the pilot featured Rocko's Family Diner in Mission, B.C., according to the Atlas of Wonders.

And Veronica Lodge's apartment is actually The Permanent building in downtown Vancouver.

While it's always thrilling to spot Vancouver-area locations, it's also been fun for locals to see how much the stars of "Riverdale" have been enjoying the area.

Jughead actor Cole Sprouse, who is also a talented photographer, found a little work-life balance at the Sky Pilot suspension bridge in Squamish:

But it's not just Sprouse. The cast had a blast ice skating at Robson Square in downtown Vancouver:

Actress Madelaine Petsch, who plays Cheryl Blossom, even found empowerment at Vancouver's women's march in January.

"Riverdale" has been renewed for a second season, so the cast have plenty of time to do more exploring in Metro Vancouver.
