Winnipeg's first-ever indoor spray pad is coming to Seven Oaks Pool.
Renovations at the facility begin April 2 and are expected to be completed in mid-2018, the City of Winnipeg said in a news release Monday.
Along with the spray pad, renovations will include a new family change room, universally-accessible washrooms, a new public lobby and meeting space and the construction of a small teaching pool, said the city.
All three levels of government chipped a total of $8 million to fund the project. It was announced in July 2015.
While Seven Oaks Pool is closed for renovations, additional swimming lessons will be available at North Centennial Recreation Facility.
