Prince Jackson Honours Father Michael With Iconic Tattoo

Beautiful.

Prince Jackson will never be without his father, thanks to a new tattoo.

The 20-year-old recently got new ink to pay tribute to his famous father, Michael Jackson. On Friday, Prince revealed the striking portrait on Instagram, adding that it took nine hours to complete.

The tattoo captures the essence of the King of Pop; On Prince’s right calf, Michael is seen standing in one of his most iconic poses, wearing his classic red-and-black outfit, complete with fedora, a white, sequined glove and white socks.

The late singer is also sweetly depicted with angel wings.

Prince is no stranger to paying public tributes to his father. Last year, he shared a sonnet he wrote for what would have been Michael’s 58th birthday.

Happy birthday to the Man who was more than a legend. I love you.

Prince is also not the only Jackson child to get inked in honour of the late singer. Last year, his 18-year-old sister Paris got a special tattoo in their father's honour.

“‘Queen of My Heart’ in his handwriting,” she wrote on Instagram. “To everyone else he was the King of Pop. To me, well, he was the king of my heart.”

According to TMZ, tattoo artist Justin Lewis copied Michael’s handwriting from a letter he had written to Paris when she was just a child.

Michael Jackson passed away unexpectedly in June 2005. His children, Prince, Paris and Blanket (Prince Michael II), were just 12, 11 and seven-years-old, respectively.

Over the years, Prince and Paris have made a number of tributes to their father, while 15-year-old Blanket has opted to keep out of the public eye.
