Reese's Mini Peanut Butter Chocolate Eggs Are Officially Easter's Most Craved Treat

And it's not Cadbury Mini Eggs either.

Sorry Peeps, but when it comes to Easter treats the people have spoken: chocolate and peanut butter are the most coveted candy this year.

According to a recent American survey from deals site RetailMeNot, Reese's Mini Peanut Butter Chocolate Eggs are the No. 1 most-wanted treat for Easter — which falls on April 16 this year — at 53 per cent, followed by classic chocolate bunnies and jelly beans, both of which are tied at 48 per cent.

Former fan favoutite Peeps fell to the fifth spot trailing quite far behind Hershey's Eggs at only 34 per cent.

The fact that a chocolate treat is most desired during Easter should come as no surprise. According to research firm Nielsen, Easter surpasses Halloween when it comes to chocolate sales and consumption.
