SNOWMASS, Colo. — Canadian freestyle skier Cassie Sharpe won gold in halfpipe at a World Cup on Friday.
The 25-year-old from Comox, B.C., layed down 93.20 points in her final run for her second World Cup victory of the season.
American Brita Sigourney was second with 89.20 points, followed by Japan's Ayana Onozuka at 87.
Sharpe also won gold at a New Zealand World Cup in September and took first place at the Dew Tour in Colorado last month.
Noah Bowman was the top Canadian on the men's side with a fourth-place finish. Mike Riddle, the defending Olympic silver medallist from Sherwood Park, Alta., was fifth.
Americans David Wise, Alex Ferreira and Aaron Blunck swept the podium.
