WHL Roundup: Cal Foote scores winner as Kelowna beats Medicine Hat in OT

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. — Cal Foote scored at 3:01 of overtime as the Kelowna Rockets came from behind to beat the Medicine Hat Tigers 4-3 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Leif Mattson, Kole Lind and Conner Bruggen-Cate also scored for the Rockets (31-14-3), who have won three in a row.

Mark Rassell scored a pair of goals and Jaeger White had the other for the Tigers (25-19-6), who led 3-1 after 40 minutes of action.

Brodan Salmond made 29 saves for the win as Michael Bullion turned aside 33 shots in a losing cause.

Kelowna went 1 for 2 on the power play while Medicine Hat was 0 for 1.



KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Jermaine Loewen scored twice as the Blazers toppled Portland for their fourth win in a row.

Connor Zary, Justin Sigrist and Quinn Benjafield also scored for Kamloops (22-23-3). Dylan Ferguson made 30 saves for the victory.
