Born in Thunder Bay, Darian spent most of his life in the bush living with his Anishinaabe great-grandmother. Formerly fluent in the language, Darian grew up thinking, speaking, reading and writing as an Anishinaabe person. For the past seven years Darian has advised different cabinet Ministers, the Premier and interned in the Prime Minister’s Office. Now, he currently holds the elected position as the Primary Advocate for Youth for the Independent First Nations alliance and Chiefs of Ontario while studying towards the completion of his Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Political Studies at Queen’s University.
