A year ago we had written to Minister Chris Alexander to apologize for treating a refugee patient. Dr. Hasan Sheikh is a Family Medicine Resident at St. Michael’s Hospital and the University of Toronto.
Mr. Alexander, I turn to you for guidance on what to do the next time this patient comes to my clinic: a gay man who fled his country because it is a crime to be homosexual.
