Father, Engineer and Community Activist
Dr. El-Tantawy Attia immigrated to Canada over 40 years ago. He received his Masters and PhD from McMaster University and worked in the Reactor Physics and Nuclear Analysis Departments of Ontario Power Generation for more than 27 years, before retiring in 2003. He currently serves as a public member of The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) and a member of the college’s Discipline Committee for over 10 years. Recently he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal by the Governor General of Canada for his achievements and service to Canada.
I ask our new government to petition the Egyptians so my four grandchildren can return to Canada with their father. It's time for Canada to reclaim its position as an international champion of human rights. What better place to start than to stand up for one of its own? Help end this ordeal.
