Grant Hankins

Vancouver District Manager, Progressive Waste Solutions

Grant Hankins has been with Progressive Waste Solutions since 2011 as the District Manager for Vancouver. Prior to joining Progressive Waste Solutions, he was the Director of Operations for Waste Management, Inc. in The California Bay Area and held various positions within Waste Management across Western Canada from 2001 to 2011.

Mr. Hankins began his career in the recycling and waste business at Browning Ferris Industries and became the District Vice President of Vancouver in the late 1990’s prior to joining Environmental Technologies LTD as a Managing Director. Mr. Hankins has a Bachelors of Business and Liberal Arts degree from Simon Fraser University and is completing his MBA at Bellevue University.

A new waste or recycling collection truck powered by natural gas costs approximately 15 per cent more than a conventional diesel powered truck, but as natural gas has historically cost less than diesel, we expect a quick return on this investment.
