Author, blogger, television writer, world traveler, and inveterate bon vivant Greg White is also a former sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, now battling it out on the blogosphere at and
Superstar chef David Bouley calls him the James Bond of food writers.

He is a bi-coastal, polo-playing, sixth-generation Texan with a voracious appetite for life. He also regularly contributes to The Good Men Project.

His new memoir, The Pink Marine, chronicles his time in pre-DADT Marine Corps boot camp. He served six years in the Marines, achieving the rank of sergeant. Truly a glutton for punishment, he went on to complete Officer Candidate School over the course of two summers after boot camp—effectively completing basic training three times. His book is optioned for a TV series.

He has a long history in film and television production. His writing credits include HBO’s Dream On, Norman Lear’s The Powers That Be and 704 Hauser, Fox’s Life With Louie, Sony’s animated series Jumanji, and Disney’s Social Studies.

He competed on Mark Burnett’s new TV show On The Menu. He has several other film and TV writing projects in development, both in front of and behind the camera. He is not a doctor, but played one on Another World, and was on The Young and the Restless.

He's a current on-air host for Food Network's Cooking Channel show Unique Sweets.

I was welcomed to Montreal in two languages, a kiss on both cheeks, and a warning not to drink the city water. Don't brush your teeth; don't cook with it, don't even look at it -- unless you boil it first. I haven't showered. Dishes are piled up in the sink.
