Jim Senko

SVP of SMB and Emerging Markets at TELUS.

Jim Senko is a seasoned telecom leader with more than 25 years of experience. He is currently the Senior Vice-President of Small Business and Emerging Markets at TELUS, Canada’s fastest growing telecommunications company.

Jim has a wide ranging mandate within TELUS. Leading the Small Business and Emerging Markets team, Jim is primed with commercializing the next horizon of our products and services, while continuing to grow the Small Business and Business Mobility Solutions portfolios. His team is responsible for product development and management, as well as sales and marketing, and provides pricing and product management support as a shared service for the Business Mobility Portfolio across TELUS Enterprise Solutions, TELUS Business Solutions, TELUS Small Business Solutions and the emerging Machine-to-Machine market. This encompasses over 1.4 million wireless connections.

Since joining TELUS in 2001, Jim has extensive experience leading teams across the TELUS Business organization. Throughout this time, he has played an integral role in driving growth engines for business including the development of our earliest mobile data solutions, the Business Freedom Guarantee, and many market-leading mobile applications such as TELUS Vehicle Tracking. With a strong focus on culture, he has a reputation for building strong leaders and is well-known to be a great exporter of talent across the organization.

Prior to joining TELUS, Jim was Vice-President and leader of Cap Gemini’s Telecommunications practice in the UK, where he was responsible for business development, delivery and people development for a UK Telecom and Media consulting practice. In addition, he also spent four years as a senior project, client and team manager at Cap Gemini, accountable for business development and delivery of strategic and operational change for clients in the telecommunications and media industry group. Jim’s background includes more than 10 years of international management experience with Tier 1 Consulting firms including Gemini Consulting and KPMG.

Jim has a BSc, Operations Management from The Pennsylvania State University, and lives in Toronto with his wife and son.
