People forgot how to have fun. My mission is to make this Nation healthier One Fit City at a time. Add a little fun to functional training, and introduce regular people to sport specific training and we have a recipe for success. Done smart, and over time, we can turn this nation into aspiring athletes(or at least healthier arm chair quarterbacks). A degree in Kinesology and Applied Health and work with everything from Couch Potatoes Pro Athletes over the past decade is my key to battling Obesity and Inactivity.
Fun, it's the missing link in getting the best physique you can. Toned tight abs, sculpted arms, lean legs. All those tag lines, need you to be having fun to get them. Ask this question. What do you like to do? Dance, run and jump, test your strength? What would you do if you had all the athletic ability in the world. Now, make a plan to do it.
Would you build a healthy body with sugar and additives? Well, you shouldn't! But we do it all the time, and that's what today's post is all about: how to build a body that functions properly and is full of energy -- NO SUGAR ADDED.

Nutrition and success in diet has three components. Going and getting your food, and not getting off of task while at the shopping market. Here are my three go-to websites to make sure I am eating as healthy as I can with as much taste as I can. There is no simple answer, other than make a plan and work the plan.

Working out can sometimes be, well, not fun. Long days at work, kids going crazy, family emergencies. It all adds up to a mentally drained and exhausted you. What if I told you, as an honest trainer, the gym was the fourth most important thing to take care of in your healthy living? In fact, getting into a gym is the icing on the cake or the cherry on top of a sundae.

We failed. Active Healthy Kids Canada put out their annual report card, and as a nation, we failed. We need to accept that we have failed. Once we accept it, we now need to decide to get back to living a life built on a desire to be healthy.

Fitness, weight loss, health, nutrition, and wellness. Key words that get searched to death in this day and age. We search the web, but are we doing the things that are recommended? Studies would say no, we are an inactive generation.

Who's ready to start a fitness transformation? The options are endless and everywhere, pick something and go with it. Rome wasn't built in a day. The expression is used far too often, but that's because it applies. Human nature is to want everything right now.

Every woman seems to have a goal in mind for their backside. Standing and engaging your postural muscles has a waist-slimming effect. The added benefit to this, better spine alignment and all the health benefits of increased neural and blood flow. But who cares about the health benefits, people are going to be asking your trainer for "That Butt," and pointing at you.

Want to look years younger? Want a beautiful complexion? Sleep. When I started doing seminars for business seven years ago, sleep became a major focus for me and what I spoke about. Weight loss needs to be the byproduct of a healthy life, then its ROI is almost immeasurable.

I often wonder why people run on treadmills if they don't intend to run marathons or hate distance running. If you have to force yourself to go to a workout, eventually your will power will give out. Here's how to look forward to exercise.

I'm not a health nut, but I take care of myself. Not to brag and not to be vain, but my decisions are purely to avoid going to the hospital with something that could have been avoided. I exercise and eat right to be healthy. I don't spend the day thinking about what I shouldn't eat, I spend it thinking about living a long life and travelling with the girl of my dreams.

My secret: I have a fear of failure, and of time running out on my dream. It started when I was young, and a doctor told my family I had leukemia. I knew what it meant, so I made a promise to be a good kid if I could live. I still wanted to fall in love, travel, see the world, and simply be alive.

As a personal trainer, I get a lot of emails from new moms asking me how to lose the weight, how to exercise from home, how to stay motivated and how to maximize their time. I've finally devised a plan for these moms that will solve the four biggest fitness obstacles that new moms face.

If you don't ever want to go into a gym, you can still get in fantastic shape. You can set aside time to go walking, play interactive games with your kids, go to the park and have a workout on the play structures and benches. That will get you healthy. Also consider trying yoga, pilates, or a sport with friends at your fitness level.

Going forward I think my question to people wanting weight loss is going to be "how did you sleep?" I can't believe how many people leave sleep out of the weight loss equation. And when you are sleeping better, what's the other best weapon? Well a mattress is to sleep what a food scale is to nutrition.

Our youth population is inactive, and it's continuing into adulthood. Our food choices at the store are becoming more and more processed. This is a nation that has forgotten what it means to get out and see the world. All of it can change by finding your motivation to live life to it's fullest.

If you won't give up wine and carb-based snacks, or if you are not willing to be at the gym for an hour or two every single day, then don't expect to get a body like a model. Fitness models work a lot harder than they get credit for. You can't get those results without the effort and commitment.

Ever wonder what "those people" really do? The extremely fit people that you only hear about. Well, they live it daily, and they love it. The smartest ones find balance, but the common element is lots of intensity. This article is not for those who are just starting out in fitness. If you are just beginning, let this be something to aspire to.

Variety is the spice of life, so it's always strange to me when people get stuck in a workout rut and don't change. Who said you had to do the things you are doing? There are hundreds of ways to exercise. Some need equipment, some need open spaces and some just need you and a little bit of good old hard work.
