How is it that we become outraged by one tweet from a celebrity and not by any number of grave issues and epidemics facing society as a whole? After all, there is certainly no shortage of worthwhile causes to support. One issue that's certainly got my attention is youth homelessness in Canada.
You've probably seen the photos and posts before: friends thrilled to attend a party, their Friday night post-work drinks at a new bar, or even selfies with a celebrity. Of course you'd want to show off your amazing experiences to your friends and followers! But to avoid being labeled a humblebragger, try finding the balance for the types of posts you share and avoid faux humility.

I've taken the occasional selfie myself, but I did raise an eyebrow when Oxford Dictionaries chose "selfie" as their word of the year for 2013. This made us here at Virgin Mobile want to dig a little deeper to find out more about the self portrait.
