Kathleen Wright

Teacher and anti-bullying expert based in the Hamilton area

Kathleen Wright is a teacher, anti-bullying expert, conflict coach, and a mom of three kids under three.

Kathleen helps people learn how to end the cycles of bullying and aggression.  She teaches Family Studies and has been the head of her school's Anti-Bullying Project. Kathleen has spoken at conferences, P.A. Days, and pre-service teacher programs about her anti-bullying research and programs.

Kathleen took the Concurrent Education program at Queen's University, and a Masters in Organizational Leadership at Brock University. She has received a certificate in Conflict Management and Mediation from Conrad Grebel College at the University of Waterloo to help further develop skills as a mediator and a conflict coach.

Her teaching career has spanned both indoor and outdoor educational experiences.  She has taught an ESL/Discipline classroom in Iqaluit, Nunavut, completed a field studies education term in Kenya, and worked with the Otesha Project on a cross-Canada biking trip teaching environmental sustainability.  She has taught skiing in Switzerland, people with special needs at Kinark Outdoor Centre, leadership and life skills to underprivileged teens with the Tim Horton Children's Foundation, and worked with youth at the Boys' & Girls' Club.
