Extreme Skier
Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Kaya Turski is a self taught extreme skier who's now one of few athletes in Canada, and among few slopestyle skiers in the world, to be pre-qualified to compete at the upcoming Winter Olympics this coming February in Sochi, Russia when the sport makes its debut. Kaya, 25, has been competing in the sport for just over 7 years and has played a major role in the progression of slopestyle skiing, accumulating many titles throughout her career including 7 X-Games victories and 2013 World Champion. Just recently, as she was on her way to defending her top spot in the sport, she suffered a major knee injury, tearing her ACL ligament (for the third time) and is en route after surgery to getting back to her sport in order to make her dreams of representing Canada at the Games a reality. Follow her journey as she opens up to the world about getting through what might be the most challenging, and rewarding, rehab of her career. @KayaTurski on Twitter and Instagram, #TeamTurski
