But I know what really moves the needle is the work we put in, our attitude while at it, and what slows us down or prevents the plan from moving forward more often than we would like to admit are the messages being transmitted in our "stinkin' thinking".
504 hours of being fully present and phone-free allowed more human interactions to take place and the delicate dance between life and nature were things I noticed again; how intoxicatingly contagious their laugh is, how much their company feeds my soul, the wealth of the sweet and simple moments, how much had stayed the same and how much had changed.

Our lives are rich with amazing women -- yourself included. We stand shoulder to shoulder with fierce women who can be found pushing through obstacles, through fears, fuelled by nothing but passion and an unquenchable thirst to reach what they believe possible. An overnight success story typically travels through many "nights" before the surreal moments are enjoyed. Some time often passes between when the dreamer first sees the vision and the moment when it comes full-circle. To the onlooker it all happens so quickly. To the dreamer it seemed like forever.

An intruder takes what was not given and the demons of shame and blame wreak havoc on what's left. Speak. What if no one believes you? You quiver. Step out you brave soul and meet your stronger self w...

Who and what belongs in your life during this season? Just like biting into a green fruit or an overly ripe one leaves a bad taste in your mouth, similarly things and people being out of season in your life is not a pleasant experience. It's just not quite right. Resist the urge to hold on to what or who your intuition told you to let go of. Rest in the truth that never leads you astray.

I can remember sitting on my couch last January nursing bronchitis and watching Dr. Bishop Vashti Murphy McKenzie. Her message was powerfully moving and her call to action voiced with one simply profound question: "Now what are you going to do?"

Recently when asked what I like to do for fun besides work -- and fortunately for me I found what I love to do making my job merely an extension of myself, travel, write, run and occasionally hang out...

So instead or in addition to sending them the cutest holiday card or the perfectly wrapped gift with the prettiest little bow, can we add them to the peace list and take a step in building more authentic friendships? The truth not only sets us all free but swings wide open the doors of peace.

There's something so liberating about being in the presence of someone who confidently accepts who she is and the company she is in with no judgment or requirements other than just be who you are. Tw...

Step out on a limb; take the chance. If the branch begins to break rest in the knowledge that you've been this way before. You've felt the ground shift beneath you, done without yet you're still standing. Whatever holds you back in thought with the lie of failure or the reminder of who you're not (yet) is ever present whether you move forward or not.
