Kim Moran is a mental health advocate, CEO of Children's Mental Health Ontario and parent of a child who has struggled with mental health issues. She is a thought leader in developing effective healthcare systems and serves on numerous boards and committees including at North York General Hospital, Sunnybrook Hospital and the Canadian Mental Health Association. She previously acted as special advisor to the Dean, Faculty of Medicine at UofT and was CEO at UNICEF Canada.
While the volume of conversation in Bell Let's Talk is incredible, I do worry we are not paying enough attention to children facing mental health issues.
Children and youth with mental health disorders are increasingly seeking treatment in hospitals because they cannot access treatment in their communities.
