Healthy to me is balance, moderation and not eliminating food groups. It also means not counting calories, partaking in fad diets, detoxing, or three-day juice fasts. I will never become paleo or a vegan. I'll eat whatever makes me feel good, keeps my sensitive tummy happy, and my body full of energy.
A traditional Pumpkin Scone from Starbucks has 480 calories, 17 g fat, 78 g of carbs, 43 g of sugar and 6 g protein. Sigh...that's like having a couple of chocolate bars. So, I wanted to create a scone that I'd eat too...and guess what...we like it even better than the original. I tested them side by side.

Picture the perfect piece of chicken with a delicious sauce that's so tasty you'll want to lick your plate. Yeah, that's this chicken. I'm still thinking about it since I originally trialled the recipe! This may just be one of my favourite baked chicken recipes to date.

I love when fall comes and all the pumpkin goodies are in full effect. I wanted to make a pumpkin bar, but without 1 cup of oil and processed flour. My healthier version doesn't have any of that, and still came out moist and delicious.

Doughnut... healthy. Did you ever think you'd see that in the same sentence? Probably not! The secret is definitely the nutmeg. It makes it taste like a doughnut.

We know the risks of smoking and drinking during pregnancy, and how socially unacceptable it is. But what about taking prenatals? If you asked a pregnant woman which one she was taking and she replied "none," what would you say? Would you snub her, the same as if she had a drink in her hand? Probably not... but why not?
