Lisa was born and raised in Toronto to Ecuadorian parents. She works as an Instructional Designer, has a passion for education, and enjoys writing. She frequently volunteers to help improve parent engagement for the Spanish-speaking community for student academic success and well-being.
A movie about the Day of the Dead inspired me to examine the traditions my family adopted, altered and abandoned.
