We forget because the good times are so good and we love being parents and the hard moments outweigh the ones that bring us joy (we hope). Anyways, it's not like we can give them back when times get a little tough, right?

This photo reminds me that Justin Trudeau is someone's child. That's his mother. Look at the joy in her face as she watches him in his moment of triumph. I see in her face how I feel about my kids and the great things I dream for them. It makes me tear up.

Yes, there are elements in Fifty Shades of Grey that warrant discussion. However, we have to remember that these people are figments of E.L. James' imagination. She's no expert on the BDSM lifestyle and her scenes lack a certain accuracy. This is not what a healthy relationship looks like. You cannot fix a violent person with your love, nor is it romantic to be scared.

As a Jew, I feel sorry for Palestinians. Their plight is awful. They're at the mercy of a government who would see them dead if it would further their cause. You can be PRO Palestine without being ANTI Israel. You can be against this war and not be Anti-Semitic. Try to remember that when you ask Israel to lay down their weapons you're asking them to walk right into a gas chamber.

Sure, you have a right to air your opinions. That's the beauty of democracy. But I've got news for you. You get more flies when you use your own hashtag. Highjacking someone's party to spread negativity doesn't get anyone on your side. Would you show up at a bar-mitzvah uninvited and complain that the meat isn't free-range?

Once in a while it's refreshing for us to have an example of integrity, and of those stepping over the line getting called out for it. So, I say thanks to Toronto's erswhile mayor, Rob Ford, for providing me with some concrete examples of how not to act.

My husband and I continue to debate one issue (well, besides every issue because obviously opposites attract). I'm not talking about Tomato Tomahto. I'm talking about how much to disclose. To our teenagers. About my wild child former self.

I can't stop thinking about Amanda Todd. Why she died, why nobody stopped the kids who were bullying her, how her cyber-stalker wasn't caught or prosecuted, why her parents seemed to be in the dark. I'm struggling because I want to lay blame. And I don't know where it should go.
