I'm hoping to inspire others to follow their dreams and help the environment at the same time. I'll be talking about what inspired me to design and build a solar car, and then what I decided to do with it and what happened in the process and what I was able to accomplish in the end. The dream, the struggle, the victory!
Marcelo de Luz
Marcelo De Luz is the driving force behind the Power of One (XOF1) solar car project, the first electric vehicle to reach the Arctic and cross the longest ice road in the world, driving 36,200 km using sunshine as fuel. Forbidden to drive his solar car in Ontario, he once pulled XOF1 by hand 503km to encourage environmental action. He will be a speaker at the TEDxToronto conference on Oct. 26.
