North York, ON native Marlowe Stone is the lead vocalist Canadian children’s pop band, Marlowe & the MiX. In 2010, the band began performing live shows across Ontario, spreading their infectious pop music with children and families alike. On October 10, 2012 Marlowe & the MiX released their first album, ONE DANCEFLOOR. Singer-song writer, Marlowe Stone’s goal with the album is to entertain the 3 to tween audience who feel that they’ve grown out of “kiddie music” but whose parents find Top-40 radio “too racy.”
Amanda Todd's suicide has stopped all parents, educators and politicians in their tracks. How could she have made such a public plea for help and still not be saved? What I do is write music with positive messages, to empower today's kids to be the best people they can be. In fact, through my kids pop act, Marlowe & the MiX, I've seen how one powerful song can change a child's mood, perspective and path.
