One of Canada’s top chefs, Matt Batey won a silver medal at the Canadian Culinary Championships in 2016. Matt’s cooking career heated up at age 20, when two prestigious Canadian culinary talents, Chef Bruno Marti and Chef Michael Noble, took an interest in the young talent. Now Matt is creating his own legacy, as the champion of regional cuisine in Western Canada. He’s a proud mentor to a new generation of cooking talent, and proud dad of three children. You can find this passionate chef in his element, during the Saturday night rush at Calgary’s The Nash restaurant.
