When it comes to skin care, we think that washing with soap is the best option, but there is actually a better way to cleanse and nourish our skin for a healthy glow, softness,and optimal moisture/oil balance. Though I couldn't find any reliable studies, rumour has it with regular dry skin brushing every day for three months you might just see a reduction in cellulite.
It's time for our first sweet harvests of the season -- rhubarb is here and strawberries are not far behind. I get really excited when I see new seasonal produce in the market and whether I have a plan for it or not, I buy it. That is how I ended up with four giant stalks of rhubarb in my fridge.

Though lasagna itself is technically a one-potter, and we all love a good One Pot Wonder, there are a few steps here and it is a little labour intensive. The final result is, however, very much worth it.

We've all had that experience where we get in our cars to go somewhere and then suddenly find ourselves at our destination without any recollection of the path we took to get there. It's kind of the same thing when we sit down in front of the television with a bag of chips and suddenly the bag is empty.

Vegetable prep is a key step in living and eating your healthiest way possible. It takes a little time up front, but makes meal times much quicker with way less clean-up. It also results in far less food waste and we love that, a lot!

Plastic wrap, plastic storage containers and plastic baggies of every shape and size line the shelves in our grocery stores -- in some cases, plastic food storage can take up half an aisle! I swear, plastic food containers are a scourge to our society. We can do better than plastic. Much better.

I began experimenting with some classic nutrient-packed ingredients and then did something I rarely do: I added a protein powder to the mix. The key was to make a fibre-rich, protein-rich and fat-rich recipe: the trifecta of a power snack. And so, I landed at a chocolate dipped, vanilla macaroon.

I was at my usual organic grocer, owned by a Korean family. I mentioned needing daikon for my kimchi and the women at the checkout were all excited that I was going to attempt this. I asked what their best tips were. They both giggled and told me their best tip was to buy some already made.

This was one of the first ever recipes I created for my blog, and it has since gone through numerous variations. I have been loving this bread with pretty much everything on it. It is great topped with a simple bruschetta mix with chopped heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil, some minced garlic, olive oil and sea salt.
