We should never get over it. With the apology, we risk the ability to raise the issue of the Komagata Maru with "old stock Canadians" who likely would not want to hear the issue brought up again. With this, we potentially lose the ability to make the point that the Komagata Maru continues to be as relevant today as it was in 1914.
Director of Strategy for Skyrocket
Mo is the director of strategy at Skyrocket, a Vancouver-based digital branding agency. <br> <br> He has worked with brands like BMW, Air Canada, Coast Capital Savings and FortisBC, and in 2011, co-founded Skyrocket with a mission to transform the relationship companies have with their audiences through creative brand strategy. Although Skyrocket takes up most of his time, somehow, Mo remains active in the arts and culture community, most notably by starting a festival dedicated to Bhangra-style dance that eventually grew to a celebration reaching tens of thousands of people. He also serves on multiple boards and committees to further cultural initiatives in Canada.
