Nedda Sarshar hails from an Iranian immigrant family in Toronto, Ontario. She has attended the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity’s Emerging Writers Program in 2018, and studied Writing, Policy and Civic Engagement at Syracuse University. She works as a youth-focused social media lead at a non-profit providing support services for domestic violence survivors during the day, and hangs with her Iranian grandmas at night. She is the social media coordinator for the first women of colour comedy show in Canada, YAS KWEEN. She enjoys writing about diasporas, identity crisis' and star-crossed lovers.
