I'm Tired Of Living In A World Divided By Fear And Hate

When I recently read about an Alabama teacher giving her eighth grade class a "racist math test," I had to laugh. This couldn't be for real. Do 13-year-olds even know how to quantify an eight-ball of cocaine? Perhaps this teacher was trying to "break bad" and was looking for the Jesse Pinkman to her Walter White. When I realized it wasn't a joke -- these kids actually had to complete and turn in this test -- my feelings morphed into anger. I wasn't mad at this one teacher, but at a world where we are constantly confronted by stories of hate.

Working Out Has Made Me Better At Sitting Down

Last year, during a busy period of work, I found myself unable to control my posture at my desk. I'd try to sit up straight with my feet firmly planted, shoulders back and tummy tucked, but my body wouldn't support me. As a healthy 28-year-old woman, I knew it wasn't OK to feel this way.

Snapchat Has Made Me More Private and Empowered

Most of what I share on Snapchat is too mundane for Instagram or Twitter, yet this is what makes the app so special. You can literally share a moment and then it goes away. I don't have to worry about what people will think about the selfie I took with food trapped in my teeth, because chances are they will forget about it as soon as the image disappears.
