The event, located about an hour north of Vancouver in Squamish, B.C., brought over 100,000 fans together. And while there were definitely a lot of people overdoing it with substances, the festival was able to remind me why we go to these things in the first place: the music.

We can go days without talking, but I still know their love is there. Most of the time it's comforting, like a hug or a warm sweater. But sometimes it's heavy, almost suffocating, as if their happiness depends entirely on my actions, my life. I don't blame them because I know this intensity only stems from their greatest fear: losing me or my brothers.

A recent advice article makes the assumption that all women are submissive, quiet, and shy.
