Writer, Editor, Aspiring Home Chef
Shelley White is a freelance writer and editor whose work has appeared in publications like The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star, The Huffington Post, The Grid and Slice.ca. In a previous life, she had a blast entertaining and educating the masses as a TV producer for MuchMusic and TVOntario. She's also a a mom of two, a serious movie buff and she's working hard to improve her wobbly culinary skills.
I wanted to find a healthy stir-fry that would be tasty and colourful enough to encourage my girls to take a bite, with a little bit of the sweetness they crave. I couldn't find a recipe that hit all the right notes, so I decided to see what I could come up with on my own. And since Sean really is the chef in the family, we concocted this one together.
Like many other families out there, our household is a busy one, between work, school, camp, domestic duties, social engagements, and life. Although we try to cook at home most nights, we do go the takeout route when things are particularly hectic.
