Suresh Kurl


Suresh Kurl's academic career led him from India to the University of York's Leverhulme post-doctoral visiting fellowship in 1967. He then became an assistant professor at the University College of Wooster (Ohio) and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

He joined the University of British Columbia in 1970.

In 2012, he was honoured by the Royal Bank of Canada and the Ministry of Multiculturalism, Government of Canada, as one of the Top 25 Canadian immigrants.

He has written for the Vancouver Sun, Province, the South Asian journal LINK, quarterly magazine desi-Today and on social, political and religious issues.
