The challenges that Monica's little sister faced and the public school education that Monica herself received in B.C. inspired her to become a teacher in 1985. More recently, she became the special education teacher in her school.

<a href="http://ca.linkedin.com/pub/todd-kettner/2a/495/469" rel="nofollow">Dr. Todd Kettner</a> is a U.S.- and Canadian-trained psychologist who grew up amidst the skyscrapers of Hong Kong and later the orchards of Creston, British Columbia. <br> <br> He has worked with children who have suffered severe abuse at an inner city clinic in Los Angeles, provided therapy for U.S. and Canadian war veterans in both countries, practiced and taught psychology in northern Manitoba, led a multi-disciplinary team supporting youth with severe addictions in Ontario, and developed a group private practice in Nelson, B.C. For the past two years he has worked as a school psychologist in the 22 schools of the Kootenay Lake School District. <br> <br> He lives in Nelson with his wife, who was a teacher in her first career, and their two middle school children. Todd enjoys mountain biking, coaching youth soccer, skiing Whitewater powder, and sailing for whichever skipper on whichever lake or ocean needs a half-skilled crew member.
