Todd Wong has been blogging about cultural fusion and Asian-Canadian history since 2004. He is active in the literary, arts, and dragon boat communities of Vancouver and is a fifth-generation, Chinese-Canadian, head tax descendant. Known globally as the creator of Gung Haggis Fat Choy Robbie Burns Chinese New Year, he was recognized for his contributions to B.C. culture and history in 2008 at the Royal BC Museum.
So is the "C' sign a warning for others to be cautious of this driver? Is it a symbol of nationalist or ethnic pride, like when people put a country's sticker or flag on their car bumper? Or is it simply a parody to poke fun at the racist stereotype of bad Asian drivers?
