Cameron Silver travelled to Toronto this past weekend to promote the release of his new book, Decades: A Century of Fashion, and the documentary Versailles 73: American Runway Revolution (a must see as well!) and since he is a very close friend of mine and my mother, we got to spend some quality time with him. Below is my interview with Cameron about Decades, style and his opinions of modern day fashion.
Yael Kanter has always had a love for fashion. After graduating with a BA in History she joined her mother, Lynda Latner, to run their high end vintage clothing and accessories website, VintageCouture.com. Vintage Couture, which was launched in 1998, has dressed celebrities like Linda Evangelista, Sandra Oh, Michelle Williams and even Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Yael acts as the fashion consultant, runs their private showroom as well as curates their e-commerce site. On her off time, she runs her personal blog, RantingsOfAShopaholic.com where she rants about all things fashion related. She has appeared as a panelist on MTV Canada to discuss various topics and has been listed as one of the Most Fashionable People in Toronto according to the Toronto Star. She also styles her husband, who is a musician and plays for a high profile pop star, for his on stage and television appearances. She lives with her husband in Toronto, Canada.
