Zach Vanasse is the Program Manager for The TreadRight Foundation, a not-for-profit organization working to ensure the environment and communities we visit remain vibrant for generations to come. He works closely with the foundation's travel and sustainability partners around the world, helping to deliver grants, facilitate communications, amplify messaging, encourage conservation, and evaluate programs designed to maintain the natural attractions and unique heritage that define each region. Born and raised in the Eastern Townships in Quebec, he now lives in Toronto, Ontario.
If travellers use their purchasing power to influence travel suppliers to operate in a sustainable manner, there's no limit to what can be accomplished.
The opportunity to interact with wild animals can be one of the most rewarding and memorable travel experiences, however, any time humans and wild animals come together there is also potential for danger, harm and abuse. Responsible travellers need to be informed.
